Other Ways to Help Volunteer at our Adoption Center
Our facility houses more than 70 cats which takes quite a bit of work to meet all of their daily needs. Feline Rescue relies on volunteers to operate and maintain the facility. Click on Volunteer in the main menu for more information about volunteering.
Foster Homes
Take a rescue cat into your home for a number of weeks, get to know it, do some socialization, and help us find a suitable adopter. Feline Rescue pays for the cats food and veterinary care. Click Foster Program under Volunteer for more information.
Sponsor-A-Cat Program
Many of our rescued cats need special care, such as surgeries or other extensive medical treatment. Others just don't seem to “sell” themselves well at adoptions - even the sweetest cats can go unnoticed by potential adopters, simply because they are shy or have difficulty adapting to all the commotion of unfamiliar places and people at an adoption event. Or maybe you have fallen in love with a cat that you saw on our adoption page or at our facility, but you are unable to bring an animal into your home right now.
For all of these reasons, we have created the Sponsor-A-Cat Program, which allows you to donate money to help a specific cat at Feline Rescue. Click on Sponsor-A-Cat under the Donate menu for more information. There you will be able to make a quick and secure online donation to sponsor the cat of your choice.
Helping at Adoption Events
Being at Adoption Events to set up and take down cages, talk to and help potential adopters; give information and just generally make sure people are taken care of and things run as efficiently and smoothly as possible.
Transporting Cats
To adoption days, to and from vet appointments, to foster homes etc.
Fundraising and Donations Finding ways to raise funds; helping with our annual Feline Rescue Gala and Open House events; contacting businesses to donate items for auctions; contacting pet stores etc. for donations of cat food, supplies etc.
