Alumni News

Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.  Check back often as we've got many kitties to brag about :).  Click here to see more alumni stories.

Today we hear from Kate, Mike and Hannah, who adopted Russell and Loretta Lynn (now Henry  and Holly) earlier this year!

We adopted these sweeties in late January, and they quickly became part of the family.

Russell and Loretta!

When it was time to say "goodbye" to our previous cat, we asked her, when the time was right, to help us find our next feline friend. Our last cat thought a lot of herself, and apparently knew that no less than two cats could begin to "replace" her! So after many visits to Feline Rescue, we fell for Russell and Loretta Lynn, now Henry and Holly.

Henry and Holly adjusted quickly, and within a couple of weeks were even going nose to nose with our sweet, old,100 pound Lab. They are the perfect combination of gentle and cuddly, and wild and crazy. They love their cat toys, and play like kittens. They always greet us at the door, and follow us around the house.

… Henry spends much of his time on a favorite kitchen stool, never wanting to miss an opportunity to be fed.

Russell!

We are hoping all the playing and running up and down stairs will help trim those jiggly bellies! Holly loves cat nip! She likes to roll in it, and eventually curl up in the bowl.

Russell and Loretta Lynn!

We're just in love, and constantly ask how we got so lucky. We are grateful to Feline Rescue, and look forward to becoming more involved in your mission to be there, with love, for any feline friend in need. Thank you again!

Today we hear from Cristy, who adopted two sweet cats out of Feline Rescue’s foster program -- Sonja and Paco (now Sonya and Kolya) !

The kitties are doing great! They are still good friends and do most everything together:  play, sleep nose-to-nose, stare out the window at the birds.

Squirrel!

They get along really well with our kids. Paco (we changed his name to Kolya) is sleek and athletic, while Sonya mostly sits still and shows off her gorgeous fur.

So Sleek!

Pretty Fur!

…  We are really glad to have these two kitties in our family.

Tippie, a very special foster kitty who has her own Facebook group, will be having eye surgery September 29.  Her foster mom, Carolyn, has generously offered to match each $200 in donations made to Feline Rescue specifically for Tippie's surgery with a bag of kitty toys.  To donate on-line go to Network for Good or for more information about donating see our Donate page.  Make sure that you write "Tippie's Surgery" in the memo of your check or in the Designation field on the on-line form.

To see more pictures and read a special note from her foster mom, please visit our blog page.

The kitties of Feline Rescue wanted a way to thank the volunteers that they owe so much to.  So they have hi-jacked this part of the website to show a small fraction of the enormous volunteer effort that goes on every day of the year.

Thank you volunteers!!!
